It’s always such a treat to come home to an unexpected envelope.  Mailboxes (the real kind) are far too underused in this age of facebook, email, twitter, blah, blah, blah.  Here are a few thoughts on how to keep yourself keen on dropping the handwritten note.

1. Add important (or not so important) dates to your calendar as a reminder.

Whether you track your loved ones’ birthdays, send out a satchel full of cards on Valentine’s day, or pick random days to drop Love Bombs, stick to it.

2. Keep lots of lovely stationery + cards on hand.

Half the battle’s picking yourself off of the couch, putting yourself in your car (or on your bike) and getting yourself to the cards. So skip that part.  Do it once and keep a mini-library of excellent cards for every occasion on hand.
